    SomeNet is an IRC (Internet Relay Chat) network which was first founded in 2002. IRC is a powerful chat protocol which allows communication with other people within one network, has been here since 1988 and has a long history of success (for example bypassing media blackouts during the Gulf War). Nowadays many projects - not limited to IRC related things - became part of SomeNet.

    SomeNet's statistics, our servers, our motivation are on the respective pages.

    Connect to irc.somenet.org:6667 or irc.somenet.org:6665 for SSL-encrypted IRC.

    SomeNet can be accessed through your web browser: IRC to GO - Java-Applet or alternatively you can try CGI:IRC which is a web chat-like IRC-Client.

    Feel free to create your own channel for chatting with your friends or to coordinate with your group. There is no need for anyone to register.
